Cancer Care

Our integrated Cancer Care program provides a full range of services and care for cancer treatment, including medical oncology, radiation oncology and surgical oncology. We recently invested $7.2 million in state-of-the-art equipment ,such  as our linear accelerators and New Mexico's first and only TomoHD that help improve the accuracy and delivery of radiation therapy resulting in improved outcomes and a better quality of life compared to traditional radiation therapy solutions.

Lovelace Medical Center is also home to the latest technology in brain cancer treatment, the Gamma Knife Perfexion. The Gamma Knife Perfexion allows for multiple brain lesions in different locations to be treated in a one, single treatment. Most patients have little to no side effects and are back to their normal lifestyle within a day.
