Lovelace Women’s Hospital has the lowest cesarean section rate of all the major hospitals delivering high risk patients in New Mexico. To date in 2014, Lovelace Women’s Hospital has a cesarean section rate of 17.1 percent. The national average for C-sections is at 33 percent.
Kristin Trotter, RN, was named the new Chief Nursing Officer at Lovelace Regional Hospital in May. Trotter has more than 13 years of experience in health care management and leadership overseeing nursing services and quality assurance.
Dr. Duc Vuong, Director of Lovelace Bariatrics, was on “KASA This Morning” to talk about diet myths and facts.

As the Albuquerque VA tries to shorten long wait times for veterans, other hospitals are quick to offer their services.
You may have seen an ad in the paper over the past few days in the form of an open letter from the CEO of Lovelace Medical Group to New Mexico veterans. In the letter, Dr. John Cruickshank said vets deserve access to health care in a timely manner and he wants vets to know they have options.
