This contract provides about 400 people with Lovelace Health Plan’s affordable, accessible coverage as well as access to Lovelace Health System’s high quality technology and service. Lovelace Health Plan offers access to more than 9,000 health care providers and specialists across New Mexico and in bordering states.
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation recently donated a large banner to the Lovelace Westside Hospital Inpatient Pediatric Unit so the children staying in the Inpatient Pediatric Unit could enjoy it and continue to color the banner in. The banner is 20 feet by 8 feet.
Lovelace Health System and PNM have joined with the New Mexico Association of Commerce and Industry to launch the state’s first “Economic Gardening” pilot program designed to help existing New Mexico companies grow.
ACI, in an news release, said it is working in conjunction with the Edward Lowe Foundation and the National Center for Economic Gardening. The city of Las Cruces and the Four Corners Economic Development Corp. also will be partners in the pilot program.

Lovelace Health System knows that mammograms and early detection can save lives for breast cancer patients. Because mammograms are a doctor’s best tool for detecting changes in your breasts, they are vital in assessing your total breast health. The American Cancer Society recommends a baseline mammogram for all women by age 40 and annual mammograms after that. Compared to other cancers, breast cancer is more treatable if found early. Currently, mammography, monthly breast exams and clinical breast exams are the main ways to screen for breast cancer.
A new medical facility and a new approach to health care is coming to the village of Los Lunas early next year.
After recently being selected to insure village employees and their family members, Lovelace Health Plan announced its plan to open a primary care clinic in Los Lunas.
The clinic will be available for all of the nearly 500 village employees, their family members and anyone with Lovelace Health Plan insurance.
Residents in Los Lunas as getting more access to health care. Lovelace says it will open a medical clinic in Los Lunas to serve the village of Los Lunas employees and their families who recently joined Lovelace Health Plan. The Clinic will also be available for any member of the Lovelace Health Plan and is expected to open by January first of next year.
