Lovelace Health Plan plans Los Lunas medical clinic

Lovelace Health Plan said Tuesday it will open a medical clinic in Los Lunas to serve 500 village employees and their families, who recently joined the health plan.

The size and location of the clinic have not been determined. It is expected to open by Jan. 1, 2013, Lovelace said in a news release.

The clinic will also serve anyone who is a member of the Lovelace Health Plan.

The 250,000-member Lovelace Health Plan is owned by Lovelace Health System, which operates six hospitals in the state.

Lovelace Westside Hospital has featured the equipment for this surgery for a few months, said hospital spokeswoman Laurie Volkin.
