Healthy Living Program for Seniors Celebrates Two Years at Lovelace

Last week more than 150 Albuquerque seniors participated in an afternoon of dance lessons, including ballroom dancing and the fox trot. It’s was all part of Lovelace Silver Elite program that promotes good health for its members. The event also featured a variety of health care booths and refreshments. Lovelace Silver Elite hosted the event as a celebration of the program’s second anniversary. Check out the news piece that ran on Univision:

So says Dr. Jason Mudd, an ear, nose and throat specialist who practices in the Albuquerque metro area and is making use of technology — called image-guided sinus surgery — at Lovelace Westside Hospital.

Lovelace Westside Hospital has featured the equipment for this surgery for a few months, said hospital spokeswoman Laurie Volkin.

Lovelace Medical Center, the hard-to-miss landmark at Interstate 25 and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, has traded in its off-white exterior for a warm brown color to cap off a massive renovation begun six years ago.
