Joint Commission Names Lovelace Women’s Hospital as Top Performer on Key Quality Measures

Lovelace Women’s Hospital is the only Albuquerque hospital to be recognized by the
Joint Commission as a Top Performer on key quality measures for pneumonia and surgical
care in 2011. The hospital met or exceeded 95 percent performance on these quality measures.
The report just released by the Joint Commission lists 620 hospitals as Top Performers, which is
the top 18 percent of hospitals across the country.

Lovelace Women’s Hospital Now Offers Women More Choices for Breast Reconstruction

Lovelace Women’s Hospital is the only hospital in New Mexico to offer mastectomy patients the full spectrum of breast reconstruction surgery.  Lovelace Women’s Hospital has just added DIEP flap reconstruction to the array of procedures available to breast cancer patients in New Mexico.  Now New Mexican women have more options for their reconstructive surgery after mastectomy.

Lovelace Medical Center Celebrates Rededication

To celebrate Lovelace Medical Center's new look and leadership, the hospital held a rededication ceremony on Monday, Sept. 24, at 5:30 p.m. for community and business leaders. The event also includes a meet and greet with Troy Greer, Lovelace Medical Center’s new CEO.

Did you know that more than half of adults in New Mexico will be obese by 2030?  This prediction is according to a new report by Trust for America's Health (TFAH) and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), up from 26.3 percent in 2011. With this increase, New Mexico will rank as the 32nd fattest state in the nation.
