HeartScan CT Package – Just $149 for a heart checkup

Why get the HeartScan Package?

Heart disease is the number one killer of Americans. In fact, it affects one in three adults and most of them don’t even know they have it. At the Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center, we know the best way to fight heart disease is to prevent it. That's why we offer the HeartScan Package – a powerful and comprehensive screening tool that can often detect heart disease at its earliest stages. It’s easy and right now it's available for just $149.

The HeartScan Package includes:

HEARTSCAN CT
This is a CT scan that may help detect heart disease at its earliest stages. The HeartScan uses the technology of Computerized Tomography (CT) to capture images of the heart while the heart is at rest. The resulting images can allow a physician to detect coronary calcium (hardening of the arteries), an indicator of coronary artery disease. The HeartScan CT alone is available for $99.

EKG
An electrocardiogram, also called an EKG or ECG, is a simple test that detects and records the electrical activity of the heart. It is used to detect and locate the source of heart problems. An EKG shows how fast the heart is beating. It shows the heart’s rhythm (steady or irregular). It also records the strength and timing of the electrical signals as they pass through each part of the heart.

LIPID PROFILE
The lipid profile includes total cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol (often called good cholesterol), LDL-cholesterol (often called bad cholesterol), and triglycerides.

PERIPHERAL VASCULAR DISEASE (PVD) SCREENING
The ankle-brachial index (ABI) is a simple, reliable means for diagnosing Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD). Blood pressure measurements are taken at the arms and ankles.

BODY MASS INDEX (BMI)
Body mass index assesses your body weight relative to height. It’s a useful, indirect measure of body composition because it correlates highly with body fat in most people.
