Letter to Editor, Lovelace Transition Painless

AS A HEALTH care worker and consumer, I would like to express the ease and support I have received from Lovelace Health Plan and its providers during the transition from my ABQ Health Partners provider to another who accepts my Lovelace insurance.

The day I found out about the termination of the contract with Lovelace Health Plan by ABQ Health Partners, I was faced with the need to find another primary care provider. I was given names of providers that day and called their offices to set up an initial appointment. It was that easy.

I happened to have an appointment with my current primary care provider a couple of days later, and she was more than happy to provide me with additional names of other providers who also accept Lovelace insurance. Once again, transition was easy; just a phone call and a few answered questions.

In addition, I have utilized the tables set up inside of Lovelace facilities in order to complete my “information gathering” regarding the use of urgent care for minor illnesses and pharmacy services, etc. …

I realize that change is inevitable. Lovelace Health Plan has gone above and beyond to make this transition as smooth as possible. They have been there to assist and answer any questions. I am confident in my future health care needs following the completion of this transition.
