Lovelace Recognized for Quality

Lovelace Westside Hospital has received the 2012 Zia Award from New Mexico Quality Awards for demonstrating the highest level of performance excellence and being considered the “Best in Class” and a role model in New Mexico. The New Mexico Quality Awards, modeled after the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, provides participating organizations with feedback on their strengths and their opportunities for improvement. The winners will be recognized at an award ceremony in April 2013. “This is a testimony to the quality of health care provided by our dedicated hospital staff at Lovelace Westside Hospital,” said Nancye Cole, COO/CNO, Lovelace Westside Hospital.

Additionally, the most recent Joint Commission Survey recognized Lovelace Medical Center as a Center of Excellence for Orthopedic Joint Replacement, specifically for hip and knee replacements. “This is a reflection of the great coordination of care between our team members and physicians to ensure patients receive outstanding orthopedic services,” said Troy Greer, CEO, Lovelace Medical Center. “I’m proud of our team’s patient-first focus and they are very deserving of this outstanding recognition.”

Congratulations to Lovelace Health Plan Medicare HMO for receiving an “Excellent” rating from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). This score reflects Lovelace Health Plan’s commitment to quality care for our members.
