Lovelace Westside Hospital To Host Community Health Fair
ALBUQUERQUE , NM . April 4 – Lovelace Westside Hospital will open its doors to the community on Saturday, April 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for a health fair. Lovelace Westside Hospital is located at 10501 Golf Course Road .
The Health Fair will feature no-cost health screenings for blood pressure, body fat, Heel Scan Bone Density, cholesterol, lung function and glucose as well as others. The local fire department and police department will be on hand to talk about crime prevention and provide child ID kits. Fire trucks and Life Flight helicopter will be at the health fair.
Lovelace Westside Hospital hosted a similar health fair in the fall drawing more than 600 people. First aid kits will be given to the first 100 people attending the health fair. A number of mascots from the community will be on hand including Hank the Horse from Lovelace Community Health Plan, the Chick Cow from Chick-Fil-A, Curly Top from Dairy Queen in Rio Rancho, Blue Bear from Blue Cross Blue Shield, Stanley from the Scorpions, and Trey from the ABQ Thunderbirds.
There will be a number of activities for children including clowns, a fun jump, face painting and games. Food and refreshments will be served. There is no cost to the community to attend.
Lovelace Health System comprises four acute care hospitals, a rehabilitation hospital, the Lovelace Health Plan, S.E.D. Medical Laboratories, Lovelace Medical Group and 15 neighborhood health care centers in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho and Santa Fe.
