Flu Shots, Interview with Dr. Jeffrey Thomas

The weather is getting colder and a flu shot may be on your to do list, but when is the right time to get vaccinated? Family physician Jeffrey Thomas recommends everyone older than 6 months get a vaccination, if you get it right now, there’s a chance the protection may be less effective come the end of the flu season. He also says people won’t get the virus from the shot. Dr. Thomas, you cannot get the flue from the flu shot, its’ impossible because the vaccine is killed.  Dr. Thomas said the shot can help protect you from the flu and complications like pneumonia and getting the flu shots just takes a few minutes.
