Lovelace Westside Hospital has been named one of the top 100 hospitals in the U.S. by Truven Health Analytics.

Truven, which has been rating the top 100 hospitals since 1993, rated hospitals on 10 issues, including mortality, patient safety, average patient stay and readmission rates for heart failure and pneumonia, the firm said in a news release.

Lovelace Westside was named one of the top 20 small community hospitals. It was the only New Mexico hospital on Truven’s list.

“We’re honored to be recognized by this prestigious national organization whose mission is to improve the quality of care through the better use of data and analytics,” said Ron Stern, President and CEO of Lovelace Health System, which owns Lovelace Westside and five other hospitals in New Mexico. “These awards show our commitment to quality and the high standard of care we provide.”
