Lovelace Regional Hospital–Roswell is pleased to welcome nurse practitioner Linda Jones. Jones is a family nurse practitioner with more than seven years of experience working with adults and children. Linda earned her master of science in nursing from the University of Texas at El Paso and has provided care to the Roswell community since 2008. She is fluent in Spanish and is a certified pediatric nurse. Jones is committed to providing compassionate care to patients in the community and will be practicing at the Lovelace Health Care Center on 1112 N. Main St. in Roswell.
Ashley Dunworth, who works in the Dietary Department at Lovelace Westside Hospital, was inspired by a patient to organize a group of painters to paint murals on the hospital's rooftop in order to improve the view from patient room. The hospital held a reception to honor the patient who inspired the artwork and to celebrate the completion of the murals.
ALBUQUERQUE (November 10, 2015) – Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center was named one of Truven Health 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals in the nation for cardiovascular (heart) success in 2015. This is the second year the hospital has been on the list. Patient outcomes from Heart Hospital of New Mexico, which falls under Lovelace Medical Center, were used to measure this national distinction.
Lovelace Health System sponsored the 7th annual Don't Bug Me campaign to help prevent the flu at Valle Vista Elementary School on November 5, 2015. This flu prevention campaign centers around teaching third grade students proper hand washing techniques and other ways to prevent the flu. The children received Don't Bug Me flu prevention materials and Don't Bug Me tee shirts. Carmen Cedillos, RN, the school nurse, helped Dr. Felipe Zanghellini teach 80 third-grade students the proper way to wash their hands and cover their mouths when they coughed or sneezed.
Dr. John Bond has joined Lovelace Medical Group as a family physician. He is board-certified with over 30 years of experience. He is a member of several professional organizations including the American Academy of Family Practice and the American Geriatric Society. He is interested in providing care to New Mexico's seniors.
Dr. Edmee Rodriguez has joined Lovelace Medical Group as an internal medicine physician. She is board-certified with over 25 years of experience and a member of many professional organizations, including the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the New Mexico Medical Association. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
