Access to data was critical for the orthopedic surgeons at St. Luke's Health System in Boise, Idaho, when they launched a project to eliminate hospital-acquired infections in 2011.

It enabled them to routinely monitor the system's infection rate after knee and hip replacement surgeries, laminectomy procedures and spinal fusion surgeries. The team used data to reduce foot traffic in operating rooms and change how patients' skin was prepped.

Lovelace to open new clinic in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Lovelace is opening a new medical clinic in the South Valley. It will be located in the Las Estancias Shopping Center near Coors and Rio Bravo, the same area where a new theater was recently built.

The clinic will provide ob-gyn services, midwives, primary care, physicals and advanced practice providers.

Lovelace officials say Albuquerque is in need of doctors across the city but they’re especially needed in this growing area.

Construction is set to start in July.

The $70 million Las Estancias retail development in Albuquerque’s South Valley has landed a medical clinic as a key tenant.

Lovelace Medical Group announced Thursday that it will build a more than 9,000-square-foot clinic on Isleta Boulevard just south of Rio Bravo. The plan is for the clinic to host four new providers, including an OB-GYN, certified nurse midwife, primary care physician and a primary care advanced practice provider, as well as administrative staff.

ALBUQUERQUE (April 21, 2016) – Lovelace Medical Group (LMG) is announcing a new medical clinic in Albuquerque’s South Valley at the Las Estancias shopping center. At over 9,000 sq. ft., the new clinic will allow four new providers to give care to the growing community.

Construction is set to start on the new medical clinic in July 2016, with a grand opening slated for late 2016. The LMG clinic providers will include an OB-GYN, certified nurse midwife, primary care physician and a primary care advanced practice provider at the clinic, as well as supporting staff.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Lovelace Medical Group is heading for the bustling Las Estancias shopping center in Albuquerque’s South Valley, and there might be more health providers coming.

Lovelace on Thursday said it will open a new medical clinic on Isleta Boulevard just south of Rio Bravo later this year.

Neurosurgeon Mark Bryniarski has joined the Lovelace Medical Center. Bryniarski is a board-certified neurosurgeon with professional interests in brain and pituitary tumors, facial pain and spasms, head and spinal trauma, brain aneurysms, and awake brain surgery with brain mapping and endoscopy.

Hundreds recognized for volunteering with Lovelace facilities.

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE)– Hundreds were recognized Friday for the time they spent volunteering at Lovelace Hospital facilities.

Last year alone, the nearly 300 volunteers put in more than 30,000 combined hours, with some putting in as much as 1200 hours alone.

Volunteers provide visitors with information, assist families while they wait and even deliver magazines.

Local car dealer gearing up to offer health care in a different way

A health care management option that came to Albuquerque last year is getting ready to take effect at a popular local car dealer.

The partnership between Don Chalmers Ford and Mayo Clinic will be delivered via Lovelace Health System and is expected to help increase the health and well-being of Chalmers’ employees as well as keep costs down, said Jamie Cox, a managing partner at Axcess Financial Group, which helped secure the coverage.
