Quality New Mexico announced Thursday that Lovelace Westside Hospital has earned the top honor, a Zia Award for Performance Excellence, among this year’s recipients.

“The journey is well worth the ability to document a living, breathing organization committed to providing, in our case, safe, quality health care,” said Nancye Cole, COO/CNO at Lovelace Westside Hospital said. “This is made possible through a highly engaged and skilled workforce led by creative innovative forward thinking leadership.”

Lovelace Health System Pharmacies Launch Prescription Drug Delivery

Lovelace Health System said Tuesday that its retail pharmacy arm has launched a free prescription drug delivery service in Albuquerque, Bernalillo and Rio Rancho.

The firm’s 10 retail pharmacies in the Albuquerque metropolitan area began offering the free prescription delivery Nov. 5, said Lovelace spokeswoman Laurie Volkin.

Patients who call a Lovelace pharmacy before 10 a.m. will have their prescriptions delivered by 6 p.m. the same day, Mondays through Fridays, Volkin added.

AS A HEALTH care worker and consumer, I would like to express the ease and support I have received from Lovelace Health Plan and its providers during the transition from my ABQ Health Partners provider to another who accepts my Lovelace insurance.

The day I found out about the termination of the contract with Lovelace Health Plan by ABQ Health Partners, I was faced with the need to find another primary care provider. I was given names of providers that day and called their offices to set up an initial appointment. It was that easy.
