Baby delivered on Albuquerque freeway

A baby was delivered in a car on the side of an Albuquerque freeway. The baby came so fast, her father was forced to pull over on Interstate 25. Brinna Lee Milligan had a grand entrance into the world. "We're on the side of I-25; we are on the side of the freeway. It's freezing outside, and I'm delivering this baby," said father Andrew Milligan.

"We were half way through Bernalillo when I felt the first urge to just push," said mother Deanne Milligan.

12/12/12 Baby Born at Lovelace Women's Hospital

In celebration of 12/12/12, anchor Royale Dá from KOAT-TV was out at Lovelace Women’s Hospital today to talk with the parents of the first baby born at the hospital. Cayvin New arrived at 8:48 a.m. this morning and weighed more than 6 pounds. Proud parents Thomas and Heather New were excited about their bundle of joy.

If you call any Lovelace Retail Pharmacy by 10 a.m., your prescription will be delivered by 6 p.m. that day. Any prescriptions called in after 10 a.m. will be delivered to your home the following day. All deliveries are Monday through Friday. Lovelace Retail Pharmacy accepts all major insurance plans.

Farron Sneed is the new CEO at Lovelace Westside Hospital in Albuquerque, N.M.

Mr. Sneed most recently served as COO and facility compliance officer of Bluefield (W.Va.) Regional Medical Center. He has more than 20 years of healthcare administration experience.

Mr. Sneed assumed his position on Nov. 26.

Lovelace Medical Center held its 42nd Annual Tree Lighting event on Dec. 6. Albuquerque Mayor Richard Berry, Maria Berry, Lovelace Medical Center CEO Troy Greer, Lovelace Health System President and CEO Ron Stern, and Sister Nancy Kazik, flipped the switch illuminating the tree, which has become an Albuquerque holiday icon.
