Lovelace Seeks to Acquire Roswell Regional Hospital

Acquisition will bring expansion, new services and new physicians

Albuquerque, N.M.(Jan. 13, 2012) – Lovelace Health System, Inc. has signed a letter of intent to purchase the assets and operations of Roswell Regional Hospital in Roswell, N.M.  Lovelace is seeking to buy the 26-bed hospital and its Family Care Clinic from New Mexico Surgical Hospital LLC and Physicians Real Estate Development Co. for an undisclosed price.

S.E.D. Labs to be acquired by Quest Diagnostics

Transaction will provide innovation, resources and expanded access and connectivity for patients. Synergistic lab purchase to enable Quest Diagnostics to significantly increase its presence in New Mexico.

Troy Greer gazed at a photo of water cascading down a series of stepped rocks, with colored maple leaves scattered across the foreground set amid a lush forest.

"We used to live near the Appalachian Trail, and this reminds me of hiking there," said Greer, CEO at Lovelace West-side Hospital.

Greer was gazing at a one of nearly 40 pieces of art that grace the walls of the hospital where the Rio Rancho Art Association has regular shows.

The changing of the guard - when a new show is displayed - is a day eagerly anticipated by the entire hospital staff, Greer said.

2 N.M. Hospitals Among Top 50

    Lovelace Women’s Hospital and Lovelace Westside Hospital were the only hospitals in New Mexico recognized by Modern Healthcare as among the 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare nationally in 2011.

    Both hospitals were named in the Top 50, Lovelace said in a news release.

    Selection was based on information provided from both employers and employees and was open to all health care companies with at least 25 employees.
