ALBUQUERQUE – October 20, 2015 – Lovelace Rehabilitation Hospital has announced that they were honored with the “Most Improved” award for a small rehabilitation hospital by the HealthStream Awards of Excellence in the Excellence Through Insight category. Lovelace Rehabilitation Hospital was recognized in the overall employee satisfaction and engagement section.

Lovelace Rehabilitation Hospital celebrates National Rehabilitation Awareness Week

ALBUQUERQUE – September 21, 2015 – In celebration of National Rehabilitation Awareness Week September 20-26, Lovelace Rehabilitation Hospital is holding several events.

The first is the second annual Therapy Pet Parade on Tuesday, September 22 from 10am-11am in the hospital lobby. This event recognizes the importance of therapy pets such as dogs and cats used to help patients through physical or occupational therapy. Bystanders are welcome to participate.

Lovelace Health System and Albuquerque Fire Department release joint public service announcement on importance of calling 911 in case of a heart attack or stroke

ALBUQUERQUE – August 13, 2015 – Lovelace Health System and the Albuquerque Fire Department  have announced that they are releasing a new public service announcement (PSA) that encourages citizens to do these three things- recognize the symptoms of a heart attack or stroke, to call 911, and to be transported to the hospital by ambulance. These important steps can increase the chances of surviving a heart attack or stroke.

Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center receives American Heart Association accreditation for acute cardiac care

ALBUQUERQUE — August 7, 2015 -- Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center has received the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline® Heart Attack Receiving Center Accreditation.

The accreditation program — sponsored by the American Heart Association and the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care —recognizes centers that meet or exceed quality of care measures for people experiencing the most severe type of heart attack, ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), in which blood flow is completely blocked to a portion of the heart.
