New Lovelace Primary Care Clinic Opened in Roswell

Lovelace Regional Hospital-Roswell is proud to announce the opening of a new primary care clinic called Lovelace Health Care Center.

To celebrate there was ribbon cutting event on Thursday at Lovelace Health Care Center, which is located at 1112 N. Main Street in Roswell. Roswell Mayor Del Jurney, the Roswell Chamber of Commerce and Lovelace leadership were in attendance.

Lovelace is opening a new primary care clinic in Roswell today. There will be ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Lovelace Health Care Center. It starts at three this afternoon at 1112 Main Street in Roswell. The Center will offer wellness exams, women’s services and preventive health care information.

Lovelace Regional Hospital-Roswell has announced the opening of a new primary-care clinic called Lovelace Health Care Center, at 1112 N. Main St. in Roswell. Roswell Mayor Del Jurney, the Roswell Chamber of Commerce and Lovelace leadership planned a ribbon cutting today to celebrate its opening. Services available will include preventive health care, health education, wellness exams and screenings, long-term care, chronic illness management such as hypertension, diabetes and heart disease; women’s services, children’s services; and geriatric services.

New Clinic for Lovelace Members

Lovelace Health Plan members now have the opportunity to access a medical provider on a same-day basis at the Atrinea Health clinic at 111 Rio Rancho Blvd, Suite 108., by N.M. 528 and Rockaway.

The Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commerce and Mayor Tom Swisstack recently celebrated the opening with a ribbon cutting.

The clinic is the result of an agreement between Lovelace Health Plan and Atrinea Health, a company that focuses on primary, preventive and urgent care.

TRICARE provides health insurance to service members, veterans and their families. There are more than 60,000 TRICARE beneficiaries in New Mexico.

"We are looking forward to providing high-quality health care to TRICARE members," said Ron Stern, president and CEO, Lovelace Health System. "TRICARE members have access to Lovelace Health System's six acute care hospitals, dedicated rehabilitation hospital and 11 retail pharmacy locations."

The New Mexico Health Insurance Exchange has no shortage of doctors and people with health insurance experience.

Board members include Dr. Martin Hickey, former CEO of the Lovelace Hospital and Lovelace Health Plan and now president and CEO of New Mexico Health Connections, the state’s startup, nonprofit health plan, and Ben Slocum, CEO of Lovelace Health Plan.

Lovelace to add primary care clinic

Lovelace Health System will open a new primary-care clinic this summer and is adding seven physicians to its staff.

The system, through its Lovelace Medical Group, will open Lovelace Health Care Center at 8401 Constitution NE on Aug. 1. According to a Lovelace announcement, “The clinic will be a patient-centered medical home, which organizes care around the patient, allowing clinical teams to better coordinate and track care.”

About five companies have filed to sell insurance on New Mexico’s Health Insurance Exchange, state Insurance Superintendent John Franchini said Friday.

While Franchini didn’t have the names of the insurers, spokespeople from Lovelace Health Plan, Presbyterian Health Plan, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico, New Mexico Health Connections and Molina Healthcare of New Mexico confirmed that their companies had filed with the New Mexico Division of Insurance to sell on the exchange.
