Quality New Mexico announced Thursday that Lovelace Westside Hospital has earned the top honor, a Zia Award for Performance Excellence, among this year’s recipients.
“The journey is well worth the ability to document a living, breathing organization committed to providing, in our case, safe, quality health care,” said Nancye Cole, COO/CNO at Lovelace Westside Hospital said. “This is made possible through a highly engaged and skilled workforce led by creative innovative forward thinking leadership.”
The Zia level carries the most stringent requirements to demonstrate outstanding processes and results in performance excellence, Quality New Mexico said in a news release.
Companies that achieved Roadrunner level recognition — substantial progress in building sound processes and in attaining improved outcomes — were the following:
⋄ Del Norte Credit Union — Santa Fe/Española.
⋄ Gila Regional Medical Center — Silver City.
⋄ Maroland LLC — Albuquerque.
⋄ Nor Lea Hospital District — Lovington.
Those achieving the Piñon level recognition — improvement to attain improved outcomes — were:
⋄ Luna Community College — Las Vegas.
⋄ Moss Adams LLP — Albuquerque.
⋄ N.M. Motor Vehicle Division — N.M.
⋄ Quality & Performance Assurance Division of LANL — Los Alamos.
⋄ Technical Area Five Sandia National Laboratories — Albuquerque.

Recipients will be showcased at the 2013 Quality New Mexico Learning Summit & New Mexico Performance Excellence Awards Ceremony, April 22-23 at Hyatt Regency Albuquerque.
