Ninth Annual Day of Dance for Your Health
More than 1,000 people attended Lovelace Women’s Hospital Day of Dance
for Health in February. Our annual “Duke City Dance-Off,” a dance
competition featuring local celebrities and health professionals, was a
hit. KOB Eyewitness News 4’s Gadi Schwartz won first place, entertaining
the crowd with backflips. Second place went to KOB’s Jill Galus, and
third place went to Rudy Acosta from Univision. Other contestants
included Sherry Aragon, Lovelace Women’s Hospital; Donnie Chase, 100.3
The Peak; Dr. Kristina Chongsiriwatana, Women’s Specialists of New
Mexico; and Alex Tomlin, KRQE News 13.
The day also included education on heart disease, no-cost health
screenings, heart-healthy snacks, dancing demonstrations and open
dancing.
