Lovelace Medical Group Women’s Services recently opened behind Lovelace Westside Hospital to meet the needs of the Westside and Rio Rancho community. The health care center provides a vast array of women’s services including annual exams, prenatal care, pregnancy testing and minimally invasive gynecology surgery.
This is the second Women’s Health Services center that Lovelace Medical Group has opened. The first location opened in the end of 2013 at Lovelace Women’s Hospital.
Patients can deliver their babies at either Lovelace Westside Hospital or Lovelace Women’s Hospital.
“These health care centers make it easier for our patients to get the care they need in one location,” said Dr. Abraham Lichtmacher, chief of Women Services for Lovelace Health System. “The health care centers are conveniently located right by a Lovelace hospital so patients can easily access hospital services as well.”
Lovelace Medical Group now has 16 providers dedicated to women’s health, including physicians and midwives.
Patients will have easy access to see a provider at Lovelace Medical Group Women’s Health Services with same-day or next-day appointments. To make appointments at either location, call 727-4500. Lovelace Medical Group and Southwest Medical Associates accept most major insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico, Molina, TRICARE, Medicare, Medicaid, United Healthcare Community Plan and United Retiree Health Care Authority.
