Classes to help you get ready for baby
Childbirth Preparation Class/Take Two
These classes provide expectant parents positive ways to deal with the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy, what to expect at the hospital, labor options, relaxation techniques and a tour of our labor and delivery and post partum units. The cost is $80 per couple.
Childbirth Refresher Course
This class is designed for parents who have one or more children and have previously taken a childbirth preparation class. This class offers the latest techniques for childbirth and postpartum care. Cost is $40 per couple.
Baby Care Basics
This class will help new parents learn care-giving skills including bathing, feeding, normal newborn appearance and behavior, soothing a fussy baby, safety tips, as well as methods to deal with postpartum depression, parenting styles and what to do if your newborn is sick. Cost is $30 per couple.
Breast-feeding Basics
This class will prepare you for best possible breast-feeding start. Our certified lactation consultants will lead an informative discussion on how to get started, how to prevent problems, going back to work while breast-feeding an infant, pumping basics and when and how to wean. Cost is $25 per couple.
Our Family Is Having a Baby
This class is for children age’s two to ten who will soon become big brothers or sisters. Topics include what happens when mom goes to the hospital and what it’s like to have a new baby in the house. Cost is $15 per child and discounts are available for more than one child per family.
New Parents Support Group
This informative program offers new parent’s and those that have delivered within the last 12 months the opportunity to learn new skills, socialize with new parents and discuss various issues with having a new baby including stress management, growth and development and postpartum depression. No cost to attend.
