Lovelace Medical Group LMG) has hired five new staff members. They are:
Janet Hardt, CNM, certified nurse midwife (CNM). Hardt has 30 years’ experience and previously worked in the women’s services department at the Lovelace Regional Hospital in Roswell; and at Rio Pecos Medical Associates in Roswell. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from UNM; a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP); and earned her certification in nurse midwifery from the American College of Nurse Midwives. Hardt is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives and the New Mexico Nurse Midwife Association.
Lowry Simpson, CNM, certified nurse midwife (CNM). Simpson has 20 years’ experience in the field and previously worked as a certified nurse midwife for the Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, N.Y. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Fla.; a master’s degree in nursing from the Sunny Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.; and earned her certification in nurse midwifery from the Frontier School of Midwifery.
Julieann Nipp, NP, certified family practice nurse practitioner (NP). Nipp has 25 years’ experience in nursing and previously worked at the McLeod Medical Centers in both Cedar Crest and Edgewood; at Albuquerque Family and Sports Medicine; and as a member of the emergency department the Lovelace Medical Center for 10 years. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from UNM; and a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Colorado in Denver.
Gary Pugh, D.O., board certified OB-GYN physician. Pugh previously worked as an OB/GYN physician at Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services in Gallup; as an OB/GYN physician at The Women’s Center in Opp, Brewton and Andalusia, Ala., where he also served as president. He has a bachelor’s degree in chemical science at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla.; a medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Mo.; and completed a residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine.
Stanislav Belyaev, M.D., board-certified critical care, pulmonary medicine and internal medicine physician practicing at the Lovelace Critical Care and Pulmonary Services at the Lovelace Medical Towers. Belyaev previously worked in pulmonary and critical care at Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe; and in pulmonology and critical care at ABQ Health Partners in Albuquerque. He has a medical degree and completed training in anesthesia and critical care at Sverdlovsk State Medical Institute in Ekaterinburg, Russia; completed a residency in internal medicine at Cook County Hospital in Chicago; and completed a pulmonary/ critical care fellowship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, N.Y. Belyaev also previously was an instructor of pulmonary medicine.
