Lovelace Medical Center receives national accreditation in radiation oncology

ALBUQUERQUE – February 20, 2017 – Lovelace Medical Center has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in radiation oncology as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
 
This accreditation represents the highest level of quality and patient safety in radiation oncology and is awarded only to facilities meeting specific practice guidelines and technical standards.

Here are some tips and reminders for a successful day of balloon watching:
 
Balloon Fiesta visitors are allowed to bring in backpacks or bags, but they will be subject to security searches. 
 
Visitors are allowed to bring food and snacks, but no glass containers or alcohol. Smoking is not allowed inside Balloon Fiesta Park.

Why Lovelace is focusing on women's health

Lovelace has been focusing on expanding access to women's health services, especially on the Westside.
 
"There are quite a few patients, in general, that don’t want to cross the river," said Dr. John Cruickshank, CEO of Lovelace Medical Group. "This [expansion program] has really given them another option."
 
Lovelace Medical Group new Women’s Clinic at Lovelace Westside Hospital opened in 2015 and the group acquired the ABQ Health Partner’s women’s health segment in March.

ENMU-R students meet scholarship donors

ENMU-Roswell students selected to receive the María de los Ángeles González Nursing Award this fall semester met recently with the donors, members of the González family of Roswell.
Each student, Krystal Paez, Rachel Vale and Gina Segura, received a $600 scholarship. The scholarship is administered by the ENMU-Roswell Foundation.
