Kristin Trotter, RN, was named the new Chief Nursing Officer at Lovelace Regional Hospital in May. Trotter has more than 13 years of experience in health care management and leadership overseeing nursing services and quality assurance.
Trotter has been with Lovelace Regional Hospital since 2013 as Administrative Director of Nursing and Quality. Prior to joining Lovelace Regional Hospital, she was the Director of Clinical Excellence and Risk Management at Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, Nevada. She was also the Director of QAPI and Compliance for Presbyterian Espanola Hospital in Espanola, N.M.
Kristin received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Nursing from Indiana University School of Nursing in Indianapolis, a master’s of public health from Indiana University and a master’s of business administration from Walden University in Minneapolis.
She is working on her Ph.D. in applied management and decision science from Walden University. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Organization of Nurse Executives and serves on the board of the New Mexico Organization of Nurse Leaders.
